Jaynette Underhill Named New Executive Director

Ms. Jaynette Underhill became Clausen House’s new Executive Director beginning November 3, 2014.  Ms. Underhill was Clausen House’s Director of Programs for the past three years. She holds a BA in Management and MA in Organizational Leadership from Saint Mary’s College and has over 25 years of professional experience in the human services field. Ms. Underhill’s leadership positions cover a broad range of health providers including behavioral health, mental health and long term care settings. Her expertise includes organizational and regulatory compliance, risk and quality management, operations, management training, national accreditation as well as certifications in Residential Care for the Elderly (RCFE) and as an Adult Residential Facility Administrator (ARF).

Ms. Underhill worked closely with the prior Executive Director and Board of Directors to develop Clausen House’s Strategic Plan and to secure the agency’s CARF recertification. Ms. Underhill has strong and respected relationships with Clausen House’s staff, clients, family members and Board, licensing agencies, stakeholders and the Regional Center of the East Bay. The Board of Directors believes that Ms. Underhill’s demonstrated commitment to Clausen House clients, her passion for its mission and deep knowledge of the agency’s operations and programs will ensure uninterrupted client services and a bright future for Clausen House.
