Dr. Edwin Clausen Begins Presidency of Clausen House Board of Directors







In January 2015, the term of Dr. Edwin Clausen’s Presidency on the the Board of Directors of Clausen House began.

Dr. Edwin Clausen is the son of the founders of Clausen House, Shirley and Edwin Clausen. His sister, Ann, was an original client of Clausen House and lived in the Belmont residence for 20 years.

Dr. Clausen has spent his career in academia and is former President of Daemon College in Buffalo, New York, where he was recognized for his founding and development of new initiatives, including off campus and overseas programs. Dr. Clausen has also served on numerous boards, non-profit as well as for-profit.

While living in New York, Dr. Clausen maintained his strong ties to Clausen House. He joined the Clausen House Board in 2012 after relocating from New York to California. Dr. Clausen has considerable fundraising experience and looks forward to working with Clausen House’s new Executive Director, Ms. Jaynette M. Underhill, MA, the Board and dedicated staff to assure Clausen House’s continued vitality and excellence in providing services that enable individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive.
