UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AMONG DISABLED INCREASES IN MARCH 2015

According to numbers released by the US Department of Labor, the jobless rate among individuals with disabilities climbed to 11.7 percent in March 2015, an increase from last month’s reported rate of 11.2 percent.  This rate compares to the 5.5 percent unemployment rate across the general population according to Disability Scoop reporter Shaun Heasley.  The jobless rate for individuals with disabilities is, however, down from the 14.5 percent rate reported one year ago.
