Ann Clausen Dies at Age 66

Ed Clausen Sr. Shirley Ann Ed Clausen Jr (Cropped) It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of Ann Clausen’s passing on November   5th, 2015, she was 66. She will be remembered for her spirit, spunk and strength and she will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and in the legacy of Clausen House forever.

At Clausen House, we will remember Ann and honor her memory through the work that we do on a daily basis. Clausen House was initially created to benefit Ann and others like her, with developmental disabilities. A legacy that started with a simple question – why can’t Ann have the same opportunities as everybody else, led to the development of Clausen House and a movement that continues to evolve beyond the passing of Dr. & Mrs. Clausen, the founders and now past Ann Clausen, herself.

Ann, it is because of you that Clausen House exists. It is because of you, that so many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive Clausen House’s curriculum and care. We promise you, that your spirit will live on through our mission and vision though you are no longer with us. We know you are close.

A memorial service will be held on November 16th at 3:30 at the Sonoma Development Center. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Clausen House in Ann’s name.
