Step by Step: Walking to Independence to Support the People of Clausen House

Ethel has the confidence to take two buses to work from downtown Oakland to North Berkeley once per week. Stacey and Jim enjoy a coffee after a long day at a nearby coffee shop. Every Friday, adult education clients either van or bus or walk to a variety of activities throughout the community. Carlos runs a small salvage business. Phil likes to go dancing. Chris plays the guitar in a band. Amy has a boyfriend. Clausen House clients are remarkable, and they live rich and full lives because they deserve to, and Clausen House with your financial support guides and assists them to live and enjoy their every day.

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, Clausen House is holding its annual Walk for Clausen House fundraiser. Won’t you please join us? The Walk will take place from 9:30-noon at Oakland’s beautiful Lake Merritt, beginning and ending at the Pergola near El Embarcadero. Continental breakfast will be served during registration and check-in. Following the Walk, we invite you to stay for our community fair, entertainment, music and dancing and one of Clausen House’s fantastic raffles!

Clausen House welcomes Walkers ($25 registration), Virtual Walkers (who can’t make it to the event but want to walk to raise funds for Clausen House), Teams of individuals walking together, Donations and Event Sponsors.
