On Saturday, September 21, 2019, DPR Construction celebrated their company’s anniversary by spending their day renovating the backyard at one of Clausen House’s historic residential homes. Once a year on the anniversary of the company’s founding, all 28 DPR offices found across the country give back to their communities by gifting different construction projects to areas in need. Clausen House was fortunate enough to be one of these recipients.
DPR and their group of 30 volunteers (consisting of employees, friends, and family) were able to accomplish an impressive amount of renovations to the historic home including: building a custom fence for the adjacent parking lot, planting new locally-sourced plants, replacing existing grass with low-maintenance wood chips, restoring a custom-made wooden bench, trimming an overgrown tree, reconstructing walkways, and installing solar-powered lights. All of this was made possible only because of the dedicated, professional, and passionate volunteers who spent their entire day working on providing Clausen House with a backyard for all of our clients and staff to enjoy.
Clausen House would like to thank DPR Construction for providing such a wonderful gift for our agency as well as Joe McHenry for introducing DPR to Clausen House. To view more photos from DPR’s Big Day of Service, please head to Facebook Page to view the full gallery.
