Dear Clients, Families and Friends of the Clausen House Community,
As you are aware our programs provide “essential programming and services” to many individuals with IDD and intense needs on a daily basis. We want to ensure our community and clients feel safe when coming onsite for our services and in their homes. We share in the concern about the health and safety the Covid-19 virus poses and want to reassure you that the best interest and well being of our clients, employees and the Clausen House community remains our top priority.
In the midst of the COVID-19 virus and shut downs, Clausen House has implemented strong emergency disaster and risk management protocols. All Clausen House Staff have been trained to take extra precautions and are executing universal sanitization and safety standards from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Clausen House has taken necessary measures to protect our clients and staff to ultimately be suitable to serve and provide services to those that are still in need. To that end our programs remain open and in full force.
Please note we at Clausen House and the leadership continue to work together to ensure that the IDD community is receiving needed service and support during this crisis.
In addition, Clausen House has been working with and receiving guidance on how to most effectively continue to serve clients in collaboration with the following governing agencies: Alameda County Public Health (ACPH), Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (OES), Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB), Community Care Licensing (CDCL) and the Department of Health Services (DHS) as well the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) just to name a few. These entities have been instrumental in helping us determine the next steps. **Please refer to website resources listed below for additional information**
To this end, we will continue to operate our programs at this time as our services and programs have been deemed essential based on the type and level of need of our clients.
We want you to know that Clausen House continues to be committed to serving your needs. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times. We appreciate all of you for supporting Clausen House and the individuals we serve.
Be well, Stay safe!!
