Jason Shaw
Director, Supported Employment Program – Clausen House
Jason Shaw is a Bay Area native who attended Saint Mary’s High School in Berkeley. A proud graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., he has dedicated his life to community advocacy and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jason began his career as a Case Manager and Employment Specialist, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in skill building, job searching, and achieving the confidence necessary to succeed in all areas of life.
Jason has managed and developed Alameda County’s first Tiny Home Program for chronically homeless and disabled individuals in San Leandro. He developed programs and expanded the scope of services to support over 150 individuals in two years. Jason began working at Clausen House in June 2025, serving as a Direct Support Professional. Jason’s passion, enthusiasm, and love for the clients at Clausen House led him to step into the Supported Employment Director role with the intention of developing staff, expanding the program, and bringing both creative and innovative resources for clients.
Outside of the professional space, Jason is an avid science fiction book reader and basketball player. He is an inventor, working on his second provisional patent, and a science fiction writer in his free time. Jason is also a big foodie and loves to go on long hikes in the beautiful Bay Area.
